I am a cardiologist in a 10-person cardiology group in Los Angeles. We follow approximately 1000 patients in our Coumadin clinic. We have recently started using the Pharmafile Coumadin management program and have been delighted with it. The Pharmafile programmers have been very responsive to our particular needs and suggestions and have been able to tailor the program to fit in with the way we like to run our clinic. Its menu driven commands make it simple to use. The data entry is visually well laid out. The dosing schedules are easy to manipulate and change according to the INR values that are entered. By using built-in algorithms it takes the guesswork out of calculating doses, making it safer for our patients. By automating much of the information it makes us more efficient, and shortens the time we need to care for patients. We particularly like the daily dosage sheets, which patients like a lot as they find them easy to read and follow.
